We are a private, nonprofit camp established and dedicated to serving the needs of youth and adults with visual impairments and other challenging disabilities. The Florida Lions Camp began operation in 1974. The camp is considered to be on of the leading facilities of this type in the United States. All individuals, five years of age or older, are eligible to attend. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for our campers through a diversity of experiences and instill self-worth and independence for those who are visually or otherwise challenged.
The Lions of Multiple
District 35 have much to be proud of in their camp facilities. Their
well-equipped camp enables the challenged campers to experience one amazing
summer. During the time they are here each summer, they are given the
opportunities to participate in the same kind of activities that kids all
over the world have done for years. A variety of traditional summer camp activities abound; swimming, canoeing, fishing, hiking, camping out and cooking over a fire , games, arts & crafts, singing & dancing, hay-wagon rides, challenge course and much more. Activities are adapted to the age and ability of each camper to ensure maximum participation, safety and fun.
